About us
New Priory is open seven days a week.
We have surgeries in both Peacehaven and Brighton, the latter incorporating PETS (Priory Emergency Treatment Service) which provides access to veterinary treatment 24 hours a day.
Friendly, helpful, qualified staff
Our team of veterinary surgeons and nurses are committed to providing the best possible care and treatment of your pet.
In addition to offering excellence in terms of patient care and customer service, New Priory Veterinary Practice is an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Centre and is committed to regular and continuing professional development for all of our staff. Mr Gavin McAulay obtained his Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in 2008, Mr Andrew Denning will be sitting the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in September 2009 and Mr Greg Clark is taking the Advanced General Practitioner’s certificate in Emergency Critical Care.
Two of our nurses passed their Advanced Diplomas in Medicine and Surgery in March 2008, which places them in the top 4% in the country. Michelle Westlake, RVN and Pet Health Counselor enrolled for her Advanced Diploma in September 2009. Trainee Nurses Donna Hilton and Hollie Grantham both passed their veterinary nurse exams in the summer of 2009 and are now fully qualified and registered.
Practice Standards Scheme
In 2008 our Brighton surgery was awarded Tier 2 status by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and our Peacehaven surgery was awarded Tier 1. The Tier system exists to provide a quality assurance framework and to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.
We hope you and your pet will be happy with the care and treatment you receive here. Please feel free to comment on any aspect of our service, which we are always trying to improve.
