Practice Facilities
To ensure that we are always able to provide the highest standard of care for our patients, we are continually upgrading and improving the equipment and facilities we provide.
At our Brighton branch, current equipment includes:
Digital Xray: Our new digital xray system allows images to be delivered almost instantly to the screen, with more detail and flexibility than previous film based xray equipment. The images are also available for us to view online, meaning that both branches have access to any xrays taken at any time. We are also able to email xrays to other practices to obtain opinions from other specialists, if that is required.
Ultrasound: We have a colour Doppler Ultrasound machine that allows detailed examination of the heart including abnormal blood flow, as well as abdominal investigations and assessments.
Laboratory: We have recently installed a full in house laboratory, allowing us to run a wide variety of blood tests any time of the day or night. These tests range from routine pre operative health assessments, to more specialist blood clotting ability tests.
Endoscopy: We are now able to use endoscopy to examine (and if necessary biopsy) patients airways and gastro intestinal tracts from the inside without surgery.
Separate dog and cat wards, to ensure your pet's stay is as stress free as possible.
Both branches have access to the equipment required to measure blood pressure, and to take a patients ECG, useful in assessing heart conditions. We can even use a Holter monitor to monitor your animals heart from home, useful if an animal has intermittent heart problems.
Public areas of both Brighton and Peacehaven are also fully air conditioned.
